Strengthening the participation of the Roma community in the functioning of the local community
Project “Strengthening the participation of the Roma community in the functioning of the local community” represents the continuation of the project aiming at the integration of the Roma national community into the political and social system of Serbia.
The project aims at encouraging the participation and helping the Roma with achieving their rights and meeting their obligations at the local level, within the local community, and helped by the local self-government. It has been planned to achieve the aim of the project through familiarizing the Roma community representatives with the functioning of the local community through explaining which needs can be met at that level, what they can or cannot get from the municipality, how to obtain necessary documents in the easiest way, etc.
