Matrix of good administration

In cooperation with ‘Transparency Serbia’ and ‘ABA-celli’, CeSID is conducting the project ‘Matrix of good administration’. In the focus of the project is research of state administration institutions and local administration.

CeSID’s expert team has designed a unique methodology for this occasion which has as its aim to state the level of development of administration bodies. In the focus of the research, among other things, is: efficiency and effectiveness of the work, as well as openness of certain institutions towards citizens and their employees. The research covers ten ‘central’ institutions and ten units of local self-government. The goal of the research is to present research findings numerically. Findings presented in such a way will enable further monitoring of development of institutions in various fields, but also contrasting of different institutions between themselves.

This type of research has great significance especially if we take into account that state administration and units of local self-government are currently undergoing final stages of reforms and more and more intensive harmonization with the EU standards. The universal methodology, designed for this purpose, will serve as the basis for future research projects. The whole project is supported by USAID.
