Biographies Of Presidential Candidates
- Tomislav Nikolic (52), candidate of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS). Graduated from the School of Civil Engineering. Worked in various construction and communal companies in Serbia. Nikolic entered politics in 1991 as one of the founders of the Serbian Radical Party. He is the Deputy of the President of this party Vojislav Seselj, who in February 2003 voluntarily surrendered to the ICTY in The Hague. Nikolic was the Vice Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia in 1998, and Vice President of the Federal Government in 1999. Nikolic is married and father to two children.
- Boris Tadic (46), candidate of the Democratic Party (DS). Graduated from the School of Psychology, worked as journalist, professor and clinical psychologist. He has been engaged in politics ever since his student days. Worked as the Federal Minister for Telecommunications after the change of regime in the year 2000, and as the Minister of Defence of Serbia and Montenegro from 2003 until April this year. Since February 2004, he is the President of the Democratic Party. Tadic is married and father to two children.
