ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ELECTIONS
Presidential elections in Serbia
The forthcoming presidential elections, to be held in Serbia on September 29, shall be the fourth in the row since the introduction of the multiparty system.
Republican Electoral Commission (RIK) verified 11 nominations for the forthcoming elections.

A total of 6,553,042 citizens holding the right to vote are entered in the voters registers.
In comparison with the elections previously held in Serbia, the number of voters in these elections is lesser for about 60,000 voters.
The decrease in number of voters, in comparison with the parliamentary elections held in Serbia in December 2000, is the result of rectification of multiple entries in the voters register.
On Sunday, September 29, the total of 8,634 polling stations shall be open in the territory of Serbia and 288 polling stations in the territory of Kosovo. .
Polling stations shall open at 07:00 and close at 20:00.
The elections shall be monitored both by local and foreign monitors, as well as representatives of all political parties.
CeSID has accredited with the Republican Electoral Commission the total of 15,000 monitors.
